Education

80Springfield Past Student Association believes proper educational resources provide the less fortunate with the Jamaica’s parishes through community service. SPSA believes in each child having a high standard of education, allowing students and community member to have a common ground for social change.  Our approach is to build a community invested in its own future. We want to change the face of rural Jamaica and its surrounding parishes to create better leaders.

SPSA’s innovations place importance on quality facilities that facilitate community service. Our approach is to involve the community with their own growth. We aren’t an organization that just builds facilities without the end-user in mind. This approach invites all types of artisans, local business owners, and community members to aid their community.

We make the biggest impact possible by identifying a community’s problem areas to impact the daily lives of students and community members. We have partnered with local educators who serve as positive role models and create a curriculum to understand the unique needs of each student that enter Springfield All Age School.

Academics and Beyond

SPSA goes beyond education. We want to provide better daily nourishment, health care, after-school programs,  uniforms, and supplies for students that are in need at Springfield All Age School and surrounding schools.

The SPSA Approach280

SPSA approaches education with educators to student relationship to create a rewarding experience for each student. We want to foster a love of learning, creativity and critical thinking that improves rural areas. We partner with educators and teachers to understand what areas of education are lacking to provide resources that give students the test-based approach typical of the Jamaican educational system
